We are not a government agency, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the California State Controller, any county, court, or any government entity. You may be able to pursue a recovery claim on your own, directly with the relevant government office, without paying a fee. We are not a debt collector and we are not attempting to collect a debt from you — we help recover money that is already owed to you (such as surplus funds, unclaimed property, and estate funds).
